Choosing the appropriate lengths and shape of lash extensions is important when lashing clients with hooded eyelids. You can open the eyes by focusing the longest lengths in the middle while choosing the curliest curvature that is suitable for the client. This look can be created in classic and volume styles.
1. For a natural appearance as attained in this look, select a curl that fits closely to the client’s natural lashes (except for downward faces lashes, you would select a D or L curl so that extensions visibly open the eye)
2. Choose three different lightweight lengths based upon the client’s natural lash cycle
3. To achieve an open-eye appearance, add the longest length to the middle of the eye and towards the outer corner, leaving the last 10% of the outer corner for short and medium extensions
Pro Tip: If the client’s eyes are wide-set, focus the longest lengths towards the middle-to-inner corner to bring them together. If the client’s eyes are close together, focus the longest lengths towards the middle-to-outer corner to bring them apart.
