About the Instructor
Dawn Catherine is a beauty industry professional with 17 years experience in many aspects of the industry. A Certified NovaLash Trainer and Advanced Eyelash Extensionist she has worked with NovaLash since 2005 and has taught hundreds of students and has demonstrated the NovaLash technique for thousands at various industry trade shows. Dawn freelances as a master hair colorist, NovaLash eyelash extensionist and make up artist in Florida and New York City and has several celebrities among her clientel. A former regional trainer and makeup artist for the prestigious French cosmetics line Guerlain, she's taught hundreds of professionals the art of makeup and skin care. Her vast knowledge of the beauty industry comes from years expeience working behind the chair, as a former spa & salon owner, and also as a eductor in both the salon and retail settings Dawn's expert background in the beauty business has lead to several speaking engagements on professional development and mentorship within the beauty industry. About Dawn's Class: Class size is limited so that each student has individual attention. In addition to theory and the hands on portion of the workshop, marketing ideas, social media, and how to cultivate and retain a devoted following for your NovaLash service will also be covered.
About the Curriculum
Our training session is an "all day" high intensity workshop. The course includes a theory section which discusses basic technique, the science behind the technique, health and safety issues, and advanced looks. During the practical portion of the session, students practice applying extensions to fake lashes, as well as on live models. Class size is kept small to ensure that each and every student in the class gets personalized advice and attention from the trainer.
